Controller/ Accountant (all genders)

Tasks

In this role, a broad spectrum of accounting and controlling awaits you. You will be part of our finance team and work across various companies with around 150,000 bookings per year. On the one hand, you will ensure thorough and detail-oriented ongoing accounting down to the document level. On the other hand, you will analyze figures, understand variances, and create well-founded decision-making bases.

• Participation in ongoing financial accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting
• Detailed checking, account assignment, and booking of incoming and outgoing invoices
• Intercompany reconciliations and settlements between companies
• Administration of payment transactions
• Active support in the upcoming annual financial statements according to HGB (balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow)
• Maintenance and implementation of monthly reporting, including P&L commentary
• Analysis of planned-actual variances and derivation of business management measures
• Creation of budgets, forecasts, reports, and liquidity overviews for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordination with tax advisors, auditors, and financial authorities

Qualification

• Sound professional experience in accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, intercompany), ideally in a multi-entity environment or from a position with broad personal responsibility
• Experience in detailed invoice checking and account assignment, as well as a solid understanding of HGB financial statements, ideally with experience in contributing to annual financial statements
• Controlling competence: You derive KPIs, forecasts, and business management measures from figures
• Proficient use of DATEV is a prerequisite, as well as strong Excel skills
• Quick comprehension, a high degree of independence, and a good eye for detail
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken

This is a plus:

• Initial experience with BI tools and in building reporting structures from scratch
• Background in hospitality, real estate, or a multi-entity setup
• Interest in automation and process optimization (API interfaces, booking automation)
