CONTEXT:

You will join the Management Control Department for Headquarters and National Associations (NA), whose role is to support the management and national associations in the financial, budgetary, and analytical steering of their activities. It ensures the production of financial reporting, the consolidation of network data, the monitoring of financial risks, and the continuous improvement of management tools and processes.

Your future team consists of 8 employees (7 in Lyon, 1 in Luxembourg), with a stimulating international scope (interactions with the United States and Germany).

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

This position offers two complementary dimensions:

- the valuation and reliability of financial data,

- and the financial steering of a portfolio primarily comprising the UK National Association.

This approach aims to enhance the quality of information, automate reporting, and support decision-making.

The objective is to structure, validate, analyze, and make available data useful for steering, while ensuring budgetary, financial, and risk monitoring for the assigned scope. The role transforms business needs into actionable indicators and dashboards, supports budget managers, and contributes to the continuous improvement of financial information systems and processes.

This position allows for transforming complex data into genuine decision-making tools!

Requirements

Your Background & Experience

Education: Graduate of a business school, engineering school, or holder of a Master 2 degree in management/finance.

Experience:

• Proven solid experience in data analysis, management control, financial reporting, or in a hybrid finance/data function.
• Previous experience or regular interaction with a management body such as a board of directors would be a plus.

Your Technical Skills

• Tool Proficiency: Advanced level in Excel and a data visualization tool (ideally Power BI).
• Data & Processes: Ability to structure data, formalize management rules, automate reporting, and understand ERP, Data Warehouse environments, and data governance.
• Finance: Solid mastery of budget control, variance analysis, closing procedures, and reconciliations.
• An appreciated plus: Knowledge of Navision, Workday, SQL, or equivalent tools.

Your Soft Skills

• Rigor & Reliability: Strong sense of quality and organization, with excellent priority management.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to synthesize, simplify, and propose continuous solution-oriented improvements.
• Interpersonal Skills: Pedagogical, active listening to business needs, and a desire for cooperation with diverse stakeholders.

Languages

• French: Fluent.
• English: Fluent and mandatory (written and spoken), given the international scope (UK).

ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WORKPLACE:

During the term of this contract, Handicap International's headquarters will be relocating.

The current and future premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro).

Within the building, ramps and elevators ensure better circulation. All workstations are located in Open Spaces, but private offices are available on each floor for quiet work if needed. The workspace is very bright.
