Control and Automation

We are seeking a highly self-motivated and technically focused individual with proven experience in automation of plant and machinery.

Key role components:

• Developing, implementing and overseeing the performance of electrical, automation and control systems associated with a market leading sawmill operation.
• Implementing support systems that maximise equipment and process reliability.
• Supporting maintenance and operations staff with process optimisation and efficiency improvement initiatives
• Developing and recommending improvements to site control and information systems to increase operational performance

With relevant qualifications in either Electronics, Automation and Control, Electrical Engineering or similar and ideally experienced as an Electrician; you will have proven heavy industrial background within the field of automation control system support and development and will be familiar with a wide range process control hardware and software platforms. Wood products processing industry knowledge combined with exposure to projects would be highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of EtherNet/IP networks, device integration, and industrial communication protocols.
• Extensive experience with Rockwell Automation.
• A tertiary qualification in Electrical or mechatronics Engineering, or Electrician with control experience.
