Annual Salary: $83,400 to $108,879 (depending on experience)

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of a service chief, the incumbent will oversee a team of employees responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of vehicles.

The leader must be able to mobilize their team's involvement and participation in achieving group objectives through their inspiring leadership.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan and assign tasks according to the established work plan, ensuring they are carried out safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Ensure, at all times, the availability of necessary tools, equipment, and materials for task execution.
• Facilitate good communication within the team and with other services.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control activities related to team performance management.
• Monitor employee training, development, and coaching within their team.
• Manage financial resources allocated to them.
• Participate in developing different mandates and represent the Vehicle Maintenance Division on various committees.
Sought-After Profile

• DEP in automotive mechanics or heavy vehicle mechanics or other relevant field, or DES.
• 3 years of relevant experience in team management (in a unionized environment, an asset).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite tools (Word, Excel).
• Ability to communicate and develop interpersonal skills (listening and communication).
• Marked aptitude for teamwork and personnel management.
• Capacity to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
• Demonstrate positive leadership that fosters team mobilization.
