About the Role

As a Contracts Officer, you will support the Procurement and Contracts function across the full contract lifecycle. The role is responsible for ensuring contracts and procurement activities are compliant with organisational, legislative and safety requirements, while supporting effective risk management and stakeholder engagement.

This position works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver safe, transparent and commercially sound contract outcomes.


Key accountabilities of the role include:
  • Maintaining contractor management and compliance registers, ensuring documentation is accurate and current
  • Ensuring contract documentation clearly defines safety, compliance and performance obligations
  • Communicating contractual, procurement and safety requirements to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participating in audits, reviews and workplace interactions as required
  • Developing clear, structured and compliant procurement and contract documentation
  • Supporting tender processes, including evaluations and provider selection in line with policy and guidelines
  • Monitoring contract performance to ensure value delivery and compliance
  • Identifying, escalating and managing procurement and contract risks where required
  • Maintaining electronic filing systems, contract registers, workload schedules and reporting tools
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and contract management processes

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:
  • At least 2 years in a similar role, with exposure to end-to-end procurement and contracts functions
  • Sound understanding of contract law fundamentals and end-to-end procurement processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • High attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality contractual and procurement documentation
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
