Contract Manager, Marketing & Corporate Communications (Events) (11 months contract)

Background: The Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) is the lead agency driving financial services industry workforce competency and transformation that is essential for Singapore’s continuing growth as an international financial centre. IBF works in partnership with the industry, government agencies and training providers to equip finance professionals with capabilities to support the growth of Singapore’s financial services. Since October 2020, IBF has been appointed the Jobs Development Partner by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to drive the development of a skilled workforce for the financial sector. As part of this partnership, IBF is seeking a Contract Manager, Marketing & Corporate Communications (Events) to support the delivery of events and marketing initiatives that promote the growth of the financial services industry in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics and coordination of events, as well as developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the Institute’s brand and initiatives. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing event concepts, themes and formats; • Coordinating with internal stakeholders, vendors and external partners to ensure seamless execution of events; • Managing event budgets, timelines and resources; • Collaborating with the Marketing & Corporate Communications team to develop marketing strategies and materials for events; • Providing support to the Institute’s communications and branding efforts through the development of marketing materials and campaigns. The ideal candidate should possess: • A degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field; • At least 3 years of experience in event management, marketing or corporate communications; • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Familiarity with the financial services industry and its trends. The contract duration is 11 months.
