Contract Legal Counsel – Mid to Senior -Level | 6 Month Fixed Term (Full-Time)

MAS is seeking a capable and pragmatic Legal Counsel to join our team and support our general insurance, life insurance, and investment businesses. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your in-house experience, work closely with the business, and contribute to meaningful projects in a supportive, values-led environment.

This is a fixed-term role (6 months) commencing late January. If you enjoy variety, collaboration, and delivering practical legal advice that helps the business move forward, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

• Provide clear, practical legal advice across a range of business areas
• Draft, review, and support negotiation of commercial contracts
• Support projects and business initiatives with legal and regulatory guidance
• Work closely with teams across product, marketing, operations, technology, and data
• Assist with legal operations, including contract management and process improvements

What we're looking for

• Mid to senior post-qualification experience, ideally with some in-house exposure
• A pragmatic approach to managing legal and regulatory risk
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain legal concepts clearly
• A collaborative, approachable style and comfort working autonomously
• Experience in financial services is desirable but not essential
