Job description

At Crisp, we have a mission: to make tastier food accessible to everyone. This is only possible if our logistics operation runs like a well-oiled machine. As Continuous Improvement Lead, you will ensure a structural way of continuous improvement in the broadest sense of the word, close to daily operations. You will build simple, scalable, and measurable processes and develop a Lean way of working that originates from and is supported by our teams on the floor.

What you will do

You will map out operational processes, document them, and ensure clear standards and KPIs. The initial focus will be on the Warehouse, with the goal of expanding the scope to the Last Mile and the rest of the chain, such as Supply Chain, in the long term. You will be the direct manager of the innovation team and provide indirect subject-matter guidance to other stakeholders involved in innovation projects, such as team leads.

  • You will set up a bottom-up structure where Team Leads and teams on the floor identify and solve problems themselves. You will help teams build the right knowledge and skills, so that continuous improvement becomes a standard part of the daily routine.

  • You will maintain an overview of the operational improvement portfolio, help prioritize where improvement capacity is deployed, and lead larger projects from analysis to implementation and embedding on the floor. Flexibly stepping in to address acute operational issues is not a problem for you.

  • You will create business cases and impact calculations for the entire chain. Together with Analytics, you will make improvements measurable and strictly manage the realized impact.

  • You will work closely with the Product Manager Ops on one improvement and innovation agenda. Where the Product Manager Ops is the technical owner (systems, tooling, and automation), you are the operational owner. You will ensure the process-driven implementation, adoption, and embedding on the floor. You will align larger priorities with the CLO and the Operations Management Team.

This is you

You have HBO/WO (Higher Professional Education/University) working and thinking level and extensive experience with Lean principles and Continuous Improvement in a logistics, warehouse, or e-commerce environment.

  • The floor is your starting point. You will be visibly present in operations, build in-depth knowledge of the practice, and effortlessly combine floor knowledge, data, and technology to arrive at effective solutions.

  • You move easily between Warehouse, Supply Chain, Last Mile, Product/Tech, and Analytics. You know how to enthuse teams and bring them along in changes.

  • You quickly understand the root cause of problems, establish strict standards, and know how to translate improvements into concrete figures and realized impact.

  • You speak fluent Dutch and English, and effortlessly adapt your communication style – from a strategic conversation with the CLO to a practical meeting on the shop floor.

What we offer

  • Working at a B Corp certified company, where you have the opportunity to make your mark on the European food system.

  • 27 vacation days to recover and recharge.

  • An extra day off per year to dedicate to volunteer work and do something good.

  • Attention to your mental health with online guidance from accredited psychologists via OpenUp.

  • For later, a perfect pension via BPFL.

  • Every month, food for thought, with workshops and talks via Crisp University.

  • Regular tastings or workshops at the office or at one of our suppliers, to see how our tastiest products are made – and of course to taste them too.

  • A daily extensive, organized lunch at the office.

  • Enthusiastic, smart colleagues and time to get to know each other during sports, events, and tastings.

  • And... a substantial discount on your Crisp groceries, because you want to eat well at home too, of course.
