Your Mission

Pennylane is already one of the leading providers of accounting and financial software in France – in Germany, we are still at the beginning of our journey.

As the Content & Communications Manager Germany, you will significantly shape how Pennylane is perceived in the German market. You will further develop our local content strategy and translate complex topics related to the product, accounting, and market changes into relevant, understandable, and compelling content.

This is not about simply translating French content: You will develop communication that fits the German market, our target audiences, and the Pennylane brand simultaneously.

You will be part of our international Brand Team and work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Events.

Your Responsibilities

Content & Editorial

• You will further develop our LinkedIn content and editorial calendar for Germany and define relevant content pillars around our product, e-invoicing, market trends, and other topics.

• You will develop case studies and customer stories – both in video and written form – and build a structured repurposing approach from them.

• You will conceptualize high-quality lead magnets, guides, articles, and other formats for accounting firms and SMEs.

• You will help build our German newsletter and develop relevant topics and formats.

• You will support the development and production of our podcast.

• You will adapt successful international content for Germany – not as a pure translation, but tailored to the market, target audience, and cultural context.

Product & Sales Content

• You will work closely with Product Marketing, Product, and Sales to develop content around new product features, launches, and relevant market topics.

• You will transform complex product, regulatory, and accounting topics into content that is easy to understand and enjoyable to read.

• You will develop sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, one-pagers, product stories, and other assets that support our sales team in their daily work.

• You will address recurring questions, objections, and needs of our target audiences and translate them into reusable content.

Events & Communications

• You will develop content for events, webinars, and conferences – from social posts and emails to presentations, event pages, and on-site materials.

• You will support communication before, during, and after our events and ensure a consistent brand presence.

Content Operations

• Together with the German and international team, you will establish clear content processes and editorial plans.

• You will coordinate designers, freelancers, agencies, and other external partners as needed.

• You will use AI tools meaningfully for research, drafting, repurposing, and localization, without losing sight of quality, accuracy, and our tonality.

• You will analyze which topics and formats are successful and continuously develop our content.

Your Profile

• You have native-level proficiency in German (written and spoken) and possess very good professional English skills.

• You have approximately 5 years of experience in content, communications, product marketing, brand content, or B2B marketing.

• You have experience writing for a B2B audience – ideally in SaaS, FinTech, Finance, Accounting, or another industry requiring explanation or regulated environment.

• You can quickly grasp complex information and develop it into clear, relevant, and compelling stories.

• You have a very good editorial sense and know what a message truly needs – and what is better left out.

• You are structured and can prioritize and drive multiple topics and projects simultaneously.

• You are comfortable collaborating with various teams such as Brand, Product, Sales, Growth, and Events.

• You don't need a perfect brief for everything: You ask the right questions, create clarity, and take action.

• You work meticulously and with a high standard of quality, without sacrificing speed and pragmatism.

A plus, but not a must:

Experience in building a brand in a new market, knowledge in content repurposing and AI-assisted content processes, and experience in an international environment.
