POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  5. Reports to: Director of finance
  1. Purpose of the position:

Leverage a rigorous, timely, and transparent accounting control over hotel operations, ensuring compliance with fiscal and financial regulations, focusing on continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and alignment with Paradero values and luxury standards.

2.Main responsibilities:
  • Register and reconcile daily accounting operations.
  • Perform monthly and annual closing accounts with precision.
  • Supervise invoicing, accounts receivable, and payable.
  • Prepare tax declarations in accordance with current legislation.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Paradero's financial policies.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and financial projections.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align accounting management with hotel operations.
  • Guarantee confidentiality and ethical handling of information.
Job requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting, Finance or related field (title holder).
  • Diploma or specialization in Finance, Taxation or Hotel Accounting desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an accountant in the hotel industry or hospitality sector.
  • Proven experience in:
  • Closing accounts.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Tax declarations.
  • Asset control.
  • Budgets and variance analysis.
  • Auditing internal and external audits.

Tech Knowledge:
  • Mastery of general accounting, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and budgetary control.
  • Knowledge updated in Mexican fiscal and labor law.
  • Management of accounting systems (e.g. CONTPAQi, Aspel, SAP, or similar).
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills (dynamic tables, formulas, reconciliations).
  • Desirable intermediate English reading skills for financial reports.

  • Availability to reside in Todos Santos.
