About the company and the job context
Macal Madeiras operates in a business that demands rigorous control of financial, fiscal, tax, and labor information.
At this moment, the company seeks to strengthen its internal structure by hiring an Accountant who will be responsible for taking over and internally managing the company's accounting operations, centralizing activities traditionally handled by an external accounting firm.
This position will have technical autonomy and will be responsible for ensuring correct accounting entries, closings, tax calculations, compliance with legal and ancillary obligations, as well as routines related to payroll and labor obligations.
We are looking for a professional with experience and technical expertise to act as the primary accounting reference for the company, maintaining close interface with the finance department and the board of directors.
Hiring Objective
To internalize and structure Macal Madeiras' accounting operations, ensuring information reliability, accounting, fiscal, tax, and labor compliance, and adherence to the company's legal deadlines and obligations.
The professional must ensure consistency in records and closings, anticipate risks, and provide reliable accounting information to support management and decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform accounting entries and ensure the correct classification of transactions;
- Conduct monthly and annual accounting closings;
- Perform accounting reconciliations and analyze discrepancies between financial, fiscal, asset, and accounting information;
- Prepare and analyze trial balances, balance sheets, income statements (DRE), and other accounting statements and reports;
- Ensure the correct appropriation of revenues, expenses, costs, provisions, depreciation, and other asset movements;
- Perform tax calculations applicable to the company's operations, according to its tax regime;
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts for the company;
- Perform and monitor fiscal entries and the verification of fiscal documents for inputs, outputs, and services;
- Verify tax withholdings applicable to operations;
- Prepare, verify, and submit ancillary obligations applicable to the company;
- Handle SPED obligations and other declarations required by federal, state, and municipal tax authorities;
- Prepare, validate, and submit obligations such as ECD, ECF, EFD-Reinf, and DCTFWeb/MIT, when applicable;
- Perform payroll closing and processing;
- Execute and verify calculations for salaries, vacations, 13th salary, terminations, charges, and other labor components;
- Ensure the correct submission of information to eSocial and compliance with other payroll-related obligations;
- Monitor admissions, vacations, leaves of absence, terminations, and other labor movements;
- Perform tax calculations and verification of labor and social security charges;
- Monitor certificates, fiscal regularity, and any pending issues with the competent bodies;
- Attend to inspections, notifications, and demands from public bodies when necessary;
- Keep accounting, fiscal, and labor documentation organized and up-to-date;
- Support the board of directors with relevant accounting and tax information for decision-making;
- Identify fiscal, accounting, tax, and labor risks and act preventively in their regularization;
- Structure and improve internal processes and controls that increase the security and reliability of information;
- Act in an integrated manner with the finance department, ensuring consistency between financial movements and accounting records;
- Stay updated on changes in accounting, fiscal, tax, and labor legislation that may impact the company.
Success Indicators in the First Months
- Organized and secure internalization of accounting routines;
- Accounting and fiscal closings performed correctly and within deadlines;
- Primary and ancillary obligations submitted within legal deadlines;
- Payroll and labor charges processed accurately;
- Reduction of inconsistencies between financial, fiscal, labor, and accounting information;
- Organized, up-to-date, and reliable accounting information;
- Identification and regularization of any pending accounting, fiscal, or tax issues;
- Structuring of a calendar and controls for legal obligations;
- Accounting statements and reports available for board of directors' monitoring;
- Increased company security and autonomy over its accounting and tax information.
Technical Requirements
- Complete higher education in Accounting Sciences;
- Active and regular CRC (Regional Accounting Council) registration;
- Consolidated experience in corporate accounting;
- Consolidated experience in tax calculation and accounting routines for companies under the Presumed Profit (Lucro Presumido) and Simple National (Simples Nacional) regimes;
- Practical experience with complete accounting closing;
- Proficiency in accounting entries and reconciliations;
- Experience in preparing and analyzing balance sheets, trial balances, income statements (DRE), and other accounting statements;
- Solid knowledge of fiscal and tax legislation;
- Experience with tax calculations and compliance with ancillary obligations;
- Knowledge of SPED, ECD, ECF, EFD-Reinf, and DCTFWeb/MIT;
- Practical experience with payroll and labor obligations;
- Knowledge of eSocial and social security and labor charges;
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software;
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills;
- Ability to interpret legislation and follow regulatory changes;
- Practical experience in the different stages of the accounting, fiscal, and labor cycle.
Considered a diferencial: previous experience as head of internal accounting for a company, especially in retail, distribution, or segments with significant merchandise movement.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary: R$6,500 | CLT (Brazilian Labor Law Consolidation)
Benefits:
- Meal voucher: R$ 30.00 per day;
