Job description

This position focuses on the comprehensive management of accounting and fiscal processes within an international context. The professional in charge will be responsible for the management, preparation, and submission of all international tax obligations, including Value Added Tax (VAT) and Personal Income Tax (IRPF), ensuring strict regulatory compliance in different jurisdictions. A fundamental part of the role consists of maintaining and supervising the transaction journal, meticulously recording all processes to create clear documentation that prevents recurring doubts and optimizes the department's time management.
The accountant will be responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvements in accounting processes, bringing a valuable perspective derived from their international accounting experience. This function involves fluid and constant communication with the company's external tax advisors to consult on complex operations and resolve any technical doubts that arise, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all financial information. Furthermore, handling the Single Administrative Document (DUA) is part of the key daily responsibilities. The work environment offers a significant opportunity to develop a professional career, with the real possibility of getting involved in various financial areas beyond basic accounting tasks. The ability to learn autonomously and proactivity in progressively taking on new responsibilities, thus contributing to the department's growth and efficiency, is especially valued. Hiring will be directly under Portuguese labor regulations. The initial office work schedule in Vigo varies by season: in summer it is from 08:00 to 15:30 until August 31st, and in winter a split schedule is established from 08:00 to 14:00 and from 14:40 to 17:00, with a reduced workday on Fridays until 15:00. For stays in Portugal, the workday is similar in overall hours but with a longer midday break, ending around 18:00.
