Consumer Collection Specialist (Payments, collections, and overdue consumer accounts over the phone)

We are currently seeking a Consumer Collection Specialist to join our team in Broomfield, CO. This position is responsible for collecting payments on overdue consumer accounts. This position is primarily phone-based with some email communications. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:** * Contact customers via telephone and email to collect payments on overdue accounts. * Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with customers. * Maintain accurate records of all collection activities. * Identify and resolve customer payment issues. * Process credit card payments. * Escalate accounts to management for further action as needed. * Handle incoming customer calls. * Meet or exceed monthly collection goals. * Maintain compliance with all applicable collection laws and regulations. **QUALIFICATIONS:** * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 2+ years of collections experience preferred. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant regulations preferred. * Experience with a collections software platform preferred. **BENEFITS:** * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Life Insurance * Disability Insurance * Paid Time Off * 401(k) Plan * Employee Assistance Program * Wellness Programs * Career Development Opportunities * Employee Discount Programs Hunter Douglas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with federal, state, and local laws.
