ABA ROLI – Consultancy for the Development of Procedures and Practical Guides for Compliance Officers in the Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) in the Currency and Financial Institutions Sectors in Brazil Historical institutional context There is more than 30 years, and through its work in more than 100 countries, the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) has been working to strengthen judicial institutions, support legal professionals, encourage the development of legal frameworks, and promote the rule of law. The ABA ROLI has been working closely with the Brazilian government, civil society, and the private sector to develop and implement effective anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) measures. The consultancy aims to provide technical assistance to the Brazilian government and financial institutions to develop and implement effective AML/CFT measures, including the development of manuals and practical guides for compliance officers. The consultancy will also provide training and capacity building for compliance officers and other stakeholders. The consultancy will be conducted in accordance with the international standards and best practices in the field of AML/CFT. The consultancy will be conducted in Portuguese and English. The consultancy will be conducted in the following cities: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília. The consultancy will be conducted in the following sectors: currency, financial institutions, and other relevant sectors. The consultancy will be conducted in the following areas: prevention of money laundering, combating the financing of terrorism, and other relevant areas. The consultancy will be conducted in the following timeframe: 6 months. The consultancy will be conducted in the following budget: R$ 500,000.00. The consultancy will be conducted in the following team: 2 consultants, 1 project manager, and 1 administrative assistant. The consultancy will be conducted in the following methodology: desk research, interviews, and surveys. The consultancy will be conducted in the following deliverables: 2 manuals, 2 practical guides, and 1 report.
