Consulting Architect

Job description

As a Consulting Architect, you will play a strategic role in guiding our Clients through implementation of solutions to support their infrastructure and workloads that are aligned with their business objectives and architecturally sound. You will collaborate with clients, partners, and internal teams to position, design, implement, and optimize software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure and workload architecture as well as solution design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Engagement:

    • Act as the Voice-of-the-Customer by bringing ideas, feedback and requirements from the field into the product process.

    • Work with the sales and product teams as a trusted advisor to Clients, providing expert guidance on technology choices, system design, and implementation roadmaps.

    • Conduct workshops, presentations, and technical discussions to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Lead client conversations from whiteboard to practical implementation, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical details.

  2. Architectural Leadership:

    • Lead the design and architecture of solutions for clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices.

    • Bridge the vision of the CTO and product team to practical solutions for clients.

  3. Solution Design and Implementation:

    • Collaborate with project teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to oversee the successful delivery of solutions to our customers.

  4. Automation and Infrastructure:

    • Design and implement automated processes for software deployment, testing, and infrastructure management using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Ansible.

    • Ensure robust infrastructure solutions, including cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

  5. Technical Mentorship:

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and other technical team members.

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

  6. Innovation and Best Practices:

    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

    • Drive innovation by recommending and implementing new technologies, methodologies, and processes.

  7. Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure that architectural solutions adhere to quality standards and best practices.

    • Conduct code reviews, performance testing, and security assessments.
