novu does not build off-the-shelf solutions, but rather custom software that fits our clients' business. We define, develop, operate, and expand it, all in-house and all in Switzerland, with around 50 people in Zurich and Bern. novu belongs to Union Group AG, a group of Swiss agencies for digital communication.

For software to fit our clients' business, someone must understand their goals, ask the right questions, and drive decisions forward. That's your role:
As a Consultant, you advise decision-makers, from marketing managers to executive management. You combine business understanding with technical know-how and lead complex software and digital projects to success. You are the reliable point of contact for your clients, from the initial conversation through to operation. You can work from Zurich or Bern, as you prefer.

What you will do with us

• You advise marketing managers, subject matter experts, and executive management on their digital initiatives. You make technical possibilities understandable, outline courses of action, and create well-founded decision-making bases.

• You manage your own client portfolio and develop long-term client relationships. You understand your clients' goals and challenges, recognize potential, and accompany them beyond launch into operation and further development.

• You contribute to new business: You expand existing clients, participate in proposals and pitches, and involve the group's sister agencies where they can help your client.

• You manage multiple software and digital projects in parallel, from proposal to go-live. You are responsible for scope, deadlines, budget, and quality, and coordinate the collaboration between clients, development, design, and operations.

• You bring together stakeholders with different interests, clarify expectations, and drive decisions. Even in case of conflicting goals or during difficult project phases, you communicate clearly, address risks early, and develop viable solutions.

• You assess with clients and the team where AI and automation can create concrete added value. You make ideas tangible with simple prototypes if necessary.

What you bring

• Several years of experience as an IT project manager in demanding software or digital projects, ideally in an agency or service environment. You have successfully managed projects with technical complexity and demanding stakeholders.

• Experience in advising decision-makers. You can contextualize business requirements, explain technical contexts understandably, and convincingly represent recommendations.

• A professional, reliable demeanor and enjoyment of personal client contact. You listen attentively, prepare conversations carefully, and keep promises. This is how you build trust and long-term client relationships.

• Technical understanding of web development, CMS, APIs, and cloud environments, as well as a feel for UX. You speak at eye level with development and architecture. Being able to develop software yourself is not a prerequisite.

• Affinity for AI, automation, and Vibe Coding: You try out new tools yourself and enjoy using AI support to implement ideas and simple prototypes. You can assess their benefits and limitations and know when to involve our engineering teams.

• You communicate fluently in German, both orally and in writing, have good English skills, and are resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate here.
