Consultant Public Sector (all genders)

Full Time Entry Level

Job description

About ]init[

You want to help shape the society of tomorrow? Then you're in the right place at ]init[. Because our digital solutions are made for people and have social relevance. Sounds exciting? Then join us and work with over 1,400 ]init[s in interdisciplinary teams at our seven locations – or flexibly from anywhere in Germany.

Your Mission at ]init[

Shape the digitalization of the public sector of tomorrow!
Do you want to not just watch Germany's administration modernize – but also use all your expertise to digitalize administrative services? Whether it's participating in the implementation of complex OZG administrative services based on the "One for All" principle, or eliminating time-consuming proof requirements for citizens and companies through the consistent implementation of the "Once Only" principle via registry modernization. Be there as a Consultant Public Sector (all genders), based in Hamburg with the option of working from home!

What you'll do

  • You are part of the Consulting Unit and responsible for shaping (IT) consulting projects
  • You will support our clients from the public sector in projects for the implementation of digitalization initiatives
  • You will support the design of strategies, organizations, and processes for federal, state, and municipal authorities
  • You will work with the project team to define customer requirements and develop innovative solution strategies and concepts
  • You will continuously develop your skills through further training and internal knowledge transfer

What you bring to the table

  • A completed university degree, e.g., in Political Science, Administrative Science, Administrative Informatics, Law, or Business Informatics – or another background that qualifies you for the field of activity. We deliberately do not focus on specific fields of study.
  • Initial practical experience in consulting or IT project management – we are particularly pleased about any involvement with public administration.
  • A good understanding of project planning and control; ideally, you are already familiar with PMFlex or are willing to learn it quickly.
  • Enjoy supporting the introduction of new IT solutions from preparation, through piloting and testing, to successful go-live.
  • Strong communication skills and a good sense for bringing different users and stakeholders along during change – whether in workshops, information events, consultations, or training sessions.
  • The ability to present complex content clearly and concisely in guides, manuals, or documents for committee participation.
  • Technical understanding and interest in the topics involved in system implementation – from configuration and interfaces to data migration and customizing, as well as functional and technical testing.
  • An eye for what's important after go-live: You consider support, hypercare, user feedback, and the transition to stable operational structures.
  • Interest in administrative digitalization and how modern IT services are successfully introduced and embedded in public organizations.
  • Knowledge of OZG, EfA, FIM, data protection, or IT Service Management is a plus – but it's more important to us that you are eager to dive into these topics.

What we offer you

  • Fixed-term position for 24 months: You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an exciting and dynamic environment.
  • Because we care: Your work-life balance is important to us. For this reason, we guarantee you 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours, and workations within the EU!
  • Work with us: We collaborate across Germany remotely – full-time or in a part-time model of your choice. You decide where you want to work.
  • Learn with us: In our ]init[ Academy and with numerous training sessions per year, we equip you for your goals & challenges. Regularly acquire new competencies and grow beyond yourself, because we want you to enjoy working with us and to develop according to your interests.
  • Grow with us: Get to know our Learning Lunches & Nutshells, which allow you to exchange ideas across departments in addition to your project work. In our teams, we support each other in thinking boldly to shape the digital transformation together.
  • Ride with us: Do you like to stay on the move? We subsidize your public transport ticket and continuously develop our corporate mobility benefits – for you and for more sustainable mobility in urban areas.
  • Start with us: Your onboarding is organized from the very first moment! With our virtual Welcome Week, you'll get off to a great start at ]init[. Close support through mentoring and networking opportunities are part of a successful start with us.

Become part of the team

Shape the digital future with us – full-time or part-time, remote or in the office.
We look forward to receiving your application, stating your earliest possible start date and your salary expectations.
Diversity and equal opportunities are a matter of course for us. We expressly welcome applications from people with disabilities and people seeking equal opportunities.

If security is important, a confidential security check may be required after an offer of employment, depending on the position.
