Job description
ROOS is a small, owner-managed SAP consulting firm with clients with whom we have worked in a partnership for years. Good work for us doesn't mean billing as many hours as possible, but that the client recommends us. That's why we say it when something doesn't make sense, instead of implementing it anyway.
Tasks
You will work with public clients with security mandates, in transformation and digitalization projects. Mostly it's about SAP, mostly about logistics. Sometimes you replace outdated technology with something modern, sometimes you tidy up master data, sometimes you clarify whether a new solution is even worthwhile.
You will start in an ongoing project. You will prepare and conduct the weekly jour fixe, record the results, and follow up on status reports. You will accompany the development teams' dailies and maintain the connection between the business department, IT, and project management.
What comes next depends on the assignment. You will moderate workshops where the business department and IT coordinate. You will follow up on a process that isn't running smoothly and propose a better one. You will take on a part of the conception or check whether the result holds up in everyday use. Your contacts will range from administrative staff to project management.
That's why there is no task list here that will still be accurate in a year. If a gap opens up with the client, you will look at it. Sometimes you will stay and make the topic your own, sometimes you will realize that a colleague is a better fit and hand it over.
Qualification
Someone who can be relied on: What you take on, you return complete. Someone who finishes what they started, even when it gets tough. Someone who keeps a clear head when things get tight in the project.
Above all, however, someone who is genuinely interested in the people at the client's site. A large part of this work is relationship building: listening, understanding what drives someone, and only then talking about solutions. Whoever can do that will quickly become indispensable here.
Technically, you need at least three years of experience in IT projects, five is preferred. Where you come from is open. SAP experience is welcome, but not a requirement. We will teach you what you don't know yet, if your attitude is right.
Benefits
You will receive your own work packages and decide for yourself how to solve them. You will usually work on several projects simultaneously, remotely, with direct contact to the people at the client's site. No one is alone in a project with us.
You will have a team lead for whom developing people is not a side task, but the reason she holds this role. She takes the time, asks questions, and supports development.
And the position you start in is not the one you will end in. You decide where you develop: deeper into one topic, broader across several topics, or into responsibility for others. Leadership is an option with us, not an expectation.
The position is permanent and full-time. You will work primarily remotely, nationwide, and visit the client in Bonn once or twice a month. We have offices in Aachen and Bielefeld for those who sometimes find the walls too close at home. If you live elsewhere, you are just as welcome.
The salary indication is the target salary including a variable component.
You will receive a response within one business day, and from the first message to the decision, it will take a maximum of two weeks.
