Prior Experience
  • Experience in the world of work (including minimal experience)
  • Experience/implication in recruiting and/or organizing members in various associations, volunteers or other types of activists in unions, anti-racism communities, women's communities, youth communities, LGBTQ+ or other progressive organizations would be a plus
Knowledge
  • General knowledge about labor market problems, unions and the world of work
  • Understanding of problems related to equality, solidarity and social justice
  • Knowledge of domains of activity (support services / IT industry / commerce) would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of MS Office program (medium to advanced level Word and Excel skills) and internet usage
Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to convince and influence a wide range of people
  • Personal, organizational and time management skills
  • English language proficiency at least medium level is required; any other spoken language represents an advantage
  • Ability to plan and implement ideas, knowing time constraints, costs and feasibility
  • Better IT skills (digital competences such as familiarity with MS Office suite, efficient internet usage for research)
  • Driving license would be a plus
Interests
  • Understanding and knowledge of union objectives and values in general
  • Understanding and knowledge of organizational management and/or logistics in any type of organization

Description of the job

JOB TITLE: Consultant organizațional
SALARY: 4500-6500 lei net
Bucharest, Iași, Timișoara, Brașov, Cluj
REPORTS TO: Project Coordinator

JOB SCOPE Organizing and recruiting workers through involvement, identifying leaders, creating a collective sustainable union at the workplace and motivating workers to act. JOB CONTENT
  • Fulfilling key responsibilities of organizing workers.
  • Planning and implementing recruitment and organization campaigns.
  • Rapport to Project Coordinator.
  • Participation in training courses and evaluations.
  • Participation as part of a team, under the direct supervision of the coordinator, in conducting campaigns.
  • Flexibility at work to respond to union needs and opportunities for organization.
  • Visting workplaces if necessary; maintaining connections with activists, representatives, officials and personnel.
  • Supporting training courses when necessary, as part of organizing campaigns.
  • Conducting and implementing planning sessions corresponding to campaign plans.
  • Preparing specific campaign materials.
  • Activating permanently within an equal opportunities framework and recognizing the importance of this aspect in union organization.
  • Maintaining updated data on campaigns, including mapping workplaces.
Type of contract:
The initial employment contract will be concluded for a period of 6 months. Contracts will be extended according to received funding.
