Consultant - Emergency Department Perth City WA

7 Fixed Term – Full Time positions available.
Consultants in Emergency Medicine who are successful to this role will work at the WA Virtual Emergency Department (WAVED) which is in St John Ambulance WA Operations Centre – Belmont. Services will include the following:

• Comprehensive clinical service in Emergency Medicine to patients of WA Virtual Emergency Department (WAVED).
• Opportunity to promote quality health outcomes for emergency medicine.
• Provides clinical expertise and leadership for WAVED services to internal and external customers.

The WA Virtual Emergency Department (WAVED) will give patients the option of being seen virtually in the comfort of their own home when safe and appropriate to do so, rather than waiting in an emergency department (ED). This partnership between the Department of Health, Health Service Providers (HSPs) and St John WA provides patients with clinically appropriate alternative care options and help reduce visits to the ED. This will help alleviate pressures on Western Australia’s hospitals and ensure that beds are available for those who most need them.
