Construction Project Manager
Job description
About Us
Established in 1985, Moodie & Associates provides civil infrastructure design, construction supervision and land development services to government and private clients. We specialize in greenfield/brownfield subdivisions, townhouse developments and retirement villages across Queensland and Victoria, offering end-to-end project support.
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Construction Project Manager to oversee our civil infrastructure and land development projects. You will be the linchpin of on-site execution, leading cross-functional coordination, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role offers the chance to lead high-impact projects that shape communities, leveraging our established client base and multi-disciplinary team support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle construction projects (civil infrastructure, land subdivisions, townhouse developments, retirement villages, etc.) from kickoff to handover, aligning with the company’s core focus on greenfield and brownfield development.
- Coordinate seamlessly with clients, contractors, consultants (engineers, architects, surveyors, etc.), and internal teams to deliver integrated civil design, documentation, and construction management services.
- Oversee labor resource allocation (staffing, skill matching, shift scheduling) and end-to-end material procurement, ensuring timely on-site delivery that aligns with project progress and maintains smooth workflow continuity between human resources, materials, and construction activities.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality control, ensuring strict compliance with Australian construction regulations, civil infrastructure industry standards at all project stages.
- Proactively resolve on-site technical and operational issues, identify potential project risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to safeguard project success.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, track key deliverables, and maintain transparent, regular communication with clients to update on project status, milestones, and any design or documentation adjustments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate client-specific requirements—including alignment with project marketing strategies and display village operations—into construction plans, delivering tailored solutions for private developers’ subdivision, townhouse, and retirement village projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent qualification.
- 3+ years of proven experience in construction project management, with a preference for experience in civil infrastructure or land development projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and client groups.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary package plus performance-based bonuses.
- Collaborative, supportive, and multi-disciplinary team environment.
