Construction Project Manager – Pretoria

Our client requires a results-driven Project Manager with a solid construction background to manage and coordinate projects in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will bring proven project delivery experience, professional SACPCMP registration, strong contractual knowledge, and the ability to use technology to enhance project performance.

Key Duties:

• Take overall responsibility for the coordination and management of assigned construction projects.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project programmes and deliverables.
• Coordinate project teams, contractors, consultants, and relevant stakeholders.
• Track project progress and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor compliance with construction, safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Assist with identifying and resolving project risks, delays, and disputes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress reporting.
• Support effective cost, time, quality, and resource management.
• Apply digital project management systems, dashboards, AI-assisted tools, and data-driven reporting to improve project planning and decision-making.

Requirements:

• Professional registration with SACPCMP as a PrCPM (essential) - alternatively PMP registration also considered
• 45 years post registration experience within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of JBCC and FIDIC contracts within the South African construction environment.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and project documentation platforms.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Effective leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability to modern construction technology and digital project reporting tools.
