Job description
The Used Equipment Technical Advisor's primary objective is the optimization and cost management of rental equipment fleets, as well as the acquisition of used equipment, providing technical advice regarding rental equipment and sale of used equipment.
The Technical Advisor is responsible for the technical evaluation, inspection, and management of equipment in the rental fleet and for second-hand equipment intended for sale.
The activity requires presence at the office in Ghiroda, as well as field trips in the allocated area, approximately 30-50% of the time. These trips may occasionally require overnight accommodation.
Candidate Profile:
Higher technical education (preferably in one of the fields: electromechanics and mechanics – agricultural, industrial, automotive)
Category B driver's license – availability for travel
Good general technical knowledge (mechanics)
PC operating skills (Word, Excel)
English language skills at an intermediate level
Knowledge of CAT product range (an advantage)
Interpersonal skills: communication and listening
Negotiation and analytical skills
Adaptable
Accuracy and attention to detail (observational skills)
Realism and practical spirit
Responsibilities:
Conduct technical inspections of rental fleet equipment at the company's headquarters
Conduct monthly technical inspections of rented equipment at the client's premises (machine condition, machine operation, daily maintenance, etc.)
Train/instruct client operators in equipment handling
Provide technical assistance to the company's sales representatives
Conduct technical inspections for the acquisition of used equipment at the client's premises (machine condition, machine operation, daily maintenance, etc.)
Prepare an estimated repair quote and negotiate it with the after-sales department before work is carried out
Make site visits to clients alongside the company's sales representatives
Provide assistance in purchasing equipment from dealers outside Romania
Promote advertisements for the sale of used equipment and identify equipment in partner databases
Perform technical and cost evaluations based on inspections carried out by representatives of used equipment suppliers
Technically manage a portfolio of national clients
Conduct, if necessary, expert assessments for the Commercial Department
Update the company's databases with gathered information regarding clients and their activity
Respond to or ensure the response to client complaints
