This Senior Legal Counsel position is a strategic role where you will be involved in major projects – serving as a key resource on complex and critical matters for the organization. Advise and support business units on a wide range of matters related to after-sales services and major projects (construction, M&A, digital innovations, supply chain, real estate, etc.). Draft, negotiate, and review complex contracts: technology service agreements, maintenance contracts, development and supply agreements, leases, etc. Manage claims and collaborate with the internal litigation team and external providers on certain litigious matters. Implement effective contract governance processes and provide training to reduce risks. Provide legal advice impacting client and partner relationships, anticipating needs and offering proactive solutions. Occasional travel may be required. Member in good standing of the Quebec or Ontario Bar (dual civil/common law training is an asset). Minimum 8 years’ experience in commercial, transactional, or contract law. Leadership, autonomy, and a strategic mindset to thrive in a dynamic environment. Demonstrate sound business judgment and propose practical solutions. Versatile, enjoys diverse files, and pragmatic. Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. Perfect bilingualism (French/English). Proficiency in MS Office. Assets: experience in intellectual property or competition law.
