Job description

Job Title: CAD Designer Location: Guadalajara, Punto Sur Duration: Long Term Client: Amazon Job description: Key Responsibilities: Design Development: Create detailed CAD drawings of delivery station layouts, including equipment, workspaces, and infrastructure, based on current standards and future design initiatives. Collaboration: Work closely with Design Engineers, fellow CAD drafters, World Wide Engineering (WWE), Pre-Construction, Construction, external architects, MHE vendors, and Launch teams to ensure design accuracy, constructability, and adherence to project requirements and Amazon standards. Drawing Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date CAD files, drawing revisions, and project documentation in accordance with established protocols and version control. Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve CAD processes, drawing efficiency, and design accuracy. Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit and other relevant CAD software. Knowledge of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical (ASME) systems design principles. Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices. Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, conveying technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges and propose effective solutions. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and design modifications. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in a construction or industrial environment. Experience with Amazon projects is a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional Information: This position requires working at the client's facilities in Guadalajara, Mexico. The selected candidate must be able to work full time (40 hours per week). The project is expected to be long term.
