Job description
At Seyna, our mission is simple: to enable insurance professionals to protect those who think big.
Join our mission! 🚀
Seyna is an insurer that brings unparalleled efficiency to brokers. Thanks to its technology and the responsiveness of its teams, Seyna supports brokers at every stage of their development: creation of tailor-made insurance products, sales and management tools, analysis and improvement of insurance products, compliance.
Since its launch in 2019, when Seyna obtained its ACPR insurer license, Seyna has convinced over 100 brokers, including SPVIE, Verspieren, WTW, Garantme, APRIL, Marsh, and Dalma. They use Seyna to protect nearly two million insured individuals in 6 European countries. Thanks to an investment of 57 million euros from GFC, WhiteStar Capital, Elaia, and 115K (La Banque Postale), Seyna has global ambitions to improve the insurance sector by modernizing the design and management of insurance programs.
Your future team:
The Accounting team, composed of Berthie and Lucas, manages daily financial operations: account preparation, relations with statutory auditors, transaction recording, broker slip preparation, supplier management, and cash monitoring. It performs quarterly closings, reinsurance accounts for our partners, and regulatory reporting. Each year, it produces annual reports and financial statements. It also serves as the key point of contact for banks and statutory auditors.
What you will do:
As an accountant, you will take charge of the general expenses scope (invoices, suppliers, payments, monitoring). The role's trajectory also involves building expertise in insurance: understanding its mechanisms and gradually contributing to the accounting of the business part. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
General Expenses
Manage accounts payable: complete, verify, and validate invoices (with the support of automatic pre-recording)
Review expense reports and ensure the compliance of supporting documents
Integrate and verify payroll entries
Ensure the proper integration of general expenses into accounting and reporting tools
Lead the accruals (FNP - Factures Non Parvenues) campaigns with internal teams
Prepare tax and social declarations (VAT, e-invoicing, DAS2, etc.)
Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliation & Treasury:
Be the treasury point person: monitor cash flows and ensure the reliability of bank data
Perform account reconciliation and ensure payment monitoring
Produce and analyze the payment dashboard, and propose areas for improvement
Support operational teams in monitoring unpaid accounts and resolving discrepancies
Closings:
Contribute to closing activities (monthly/quarterly according to schedule) and account preparation
Participate in reviews and justify accounts; prepare elements for annual declarations
Projects:
Participate in projects for the evolution of the accounting scope (processes, tools, continuous improvement)
You are in the right place if:
You have a degree in accounting/management (BTS, DCG, Master's...) and 0 to 3 years of experience (in a firm or company).
You have a good foundation in general accounting and are eager to quickly own a scope (general expenses: suppliers, expense reports, payroll, declarations...).
You are curious, you like to understand the "why" behind the entries, and you have a real capacity for reasoning and analysis.
You are dynamic, you move forward, you propose, you know how to prioritize — without compromising quality.
You are comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets and you know how to work with an ERP (knowledge of NetSuite is a plus, but not essential).
You appreciate a supportive and demanding environment where mutual help truly matters.
Bonus: you are comfortable with written/spoken English, and you are motivated to build your skills in insurance accounting
What Seyna offers you:
💵 Compensation: A competitive package so you can share in the success as we grow.
🏖 Paid Time Off: 7 to 10 RTT days (depending on the number of working days in the year) in addition to your 28 days of paid leave.
🍜 Meal Vouchers: A Benefiz meal voucher card, 60% paid by Seyna (€10/day).
🚇 Public Transport: 50% of your preferred transportation (Navigo, bike, train) covered by Seyna.
🚑 Health Insurance: Generali health insurance covered at 95% by Seyna
