Project Accountant

We are looking for a bilingual project accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Controller, Operations, you will provide support to managers in financial tracking and project billing activities.

We offer a flexible hybrid work mode allowing you to work from your home and one of our offices in Montreal, Laval, or Sherbrooke.

Main responsibilities

• Maintain the financial health of a portfolio of projects ;
• Ensure the accuracy of monthly revenue accounting ;
• Handle monthly billing for the project portfolio under your responsibility ;
• Actively contribute to improving the average collection period (ACP) by working with all stakeholders (project managers, accounts receivable, clients, etc.) ;
• Validate all financial controls put in place to minimize errors and maximize efficiency (rate sheets, resource allocation, precise task distribution structure), during the project opening process ;
• Meet with project managers to track project finances ;
• Review all contracts to ensure the accuracy of revenue accounting ;
• Establish and maintain a trusting relationship with our internal and external clients ;
• Keep project information up-to-date (budgets, amendments, tariffs, etc.);
• Understand and ensure compliance with CIMA+ internal control rules.
