Project Accountant

We are looking for a project accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting to the main financial controller, operations, you will provide support to managers in financial tracking and project billing activities.

We offer a flexible hybrid work mode allowing you to work from your home and one of our offices in Montreal, Laval or Longueuil.

Main responsibilities

• Maintain the financial health of a portfolio of projects ;
• Ensure the accuracy of monthly income accounting ;
• Handle monthly billing for the project portfolio under your responsibility ;
• Actively contribute to improving the average collection period (ACP) by working with all stakeholders (project managers, accounts receivable, clients, etc.) ;
• Validate all financial controls put in place to minimize errors and maximize efficiency (rate sheets, resource allocation, precise task distribution structure), during the project opening process ;
• Meet with project managers to track project finances ;
• Review all contracts to ensure the accuracy of income accounting ;
• Establish and maintain a trusting relationship with our internal and external clients ;
• Maintain up-to-date information on projects (budgets, amendments, rates, etc.);
• Understand and ensure compliance with CIMA+ internal control rules.
