Production Materials Buyer

About the Position:
KI Industries, Inc., is seeking a Production Materials Buyer for our plant located in the Industrial Park El Marques. The position is responsible for timely procurement of raw materials.
Works closely with engineering, quality, and projects to approve and develop new suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating purchase terms with suppliers for production quantities and new projects.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and purchasing of raw material and packaging for the supply of all production lines.
• Sending a weekly delivery program to suppliers to coordinate supply.
• Evaluating suppliers together with the quality department.
• Managing expedited shipments with suppliers.
• Following up on quality rejections.
• Analyzing unit cost based on volume and renegotiating purchase terms.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in administration, industrial engineering or related field.
• Advanced English

Experience:

• 3 years in a similar position.
• General knowledge of the IATF 16949 standard and ISO 14001.

Skills:

• Mathematical reasoning, numerical analysis.
• Knowledge of incoterms.
• Negotiation with external and internal clients.
• Knowledge about Asian material planning, lead time +12 weeks.
• Desirable experience in the automotive industry focused on plastic injection.
