We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to join a fast-paced and purpose-driven team, supporting regulatory oversight across Australia and New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help shape the compliance function.
Role Purpose
- Manage and maintain the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), ensuring all procedures and processes align with regulatory expectations
- Act as the main point of contact for ASIC
- Provide trusted compliance advice across teams relating to the AFSL and Corporations Act to support the safe launch of new products and services
- Lead horizon scanning and regulatory change management, ensuring timely communication and implementation of updates
- Enhance the regulatory compliance framework, with a focus on monitoring and measuring non-financial crime regulatory risk
- Oversee breach reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions to regulators
- Manage complaint handling processes in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Design and deliver targeted compliance training informed by risk assessments
- Prepare clear and concise reporting and insights for the Risk Committee and Board
- A strong background in regulatory compliance within financial services, ideally in payments or remittance.
- Ideally looking for candidates with a background in payments or investment funds
- Hands-on experience working with or within an organisation holding an AFSL.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory obligations under ASIC and APRA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to find workable solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- The ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally to collaborate with teams in other locations.
