Title:- Regulatory/AFSL Compliance Manager
Location: Sydney
Length:- Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to join a fast-paced and purpose-driven team, supporting regulatory oversight across Australia and New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help shape the compliance function.

Role Purpose

Manage and maintain the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), ensuring all procedures and processes align with regulatory expectations
Act as the main point of contact for ASIC
Provide trusted compliance advice across teams relating to the AFSL and Corporations Act to support the safe launch of new products and services
Lead horizon scanning and regulatory change management, ensuring timely communication and implementation of updates
Enhance the regulatory compliance framework, with a focus on monitoring and measuring non-financial crime regulatory risk
Oversee breach reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions to regulators
Manage complaint handling processes in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies
Design and deliver targeted compliance training informed by risk assessments
Prepare clear and concise reporting and insights for the Risk Committee and Board

What you will need

A strong background in regulatory compliance within financial services, ideally in payments or remittance.
Ideally looking for candidates with a background in payments or investment funds
Hands-on experience working with or within an organisation holding an AFSL.
Solid knowledge of regulatory obligations under ASIC and APRA.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to find workable solutions and drive continuous improvement.
The ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility to travel occasionally to collaborate with teams in other locations.
