Senior Compliance Manager – FEMA & Trade

Job Requirements About the Role The Senior Compliance Manager – FEMA & Trade is responsible for overseeing all compliance-related activities within the Retail Banking business. Based in Mumbai, this role ensures adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, develops and monitors control systems, and supports the organization in maintaining a robust compliance framework. Key Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Oversee all business operations relating to compliance including policies, investigations, and reporting. Ensure that all compliance-related activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Develop and implement effective compliance controls and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, risk management, and audit teams to identify and address potential compliance issues. Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance-related matters. Conduct regular audits and reviews of compliance processes and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay informed about changing regulations and best practices. Key Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as law, finance, or business administration. At least 8 years of experience in compliance-related roles, preferably in the financial services sector. Strong understanding of FEMA and trade regulations, as well as other relevant laws and regulations. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Certification in compliance or risk management is an added advantage.
