Community Worker | Full-time, Brisbane QLD

Employer: Quick Response Carers (NDIS Registered Provider)
Salary: AUD $76,600 + superannuation (38 hrs/week) — immediate start

About the role
We’re seeking a Community Worker to strengthen client independence and social participation across disability, aged care, and mental health programs. You’ll assess community needs, deliver targeted programs, and connect people with the right services and supports.

Key duties

• Assess individual and community needs, resources, risks, and priorities.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate community programs and activities that promote inclusion and life skills.
• Provide information, advocacy, and referrals to appropriate services (health, housing, education, employment).
• Liaise with clients, families, community groups, and agencies to coordinate supports and remove participation barriers.
• Organise and facilitate group sessions, workshops, and community events.
• Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers where required.
• Prepare case notes, reports, and funding submissions; track outcomes and quality improvements.
• Promote community awareness and build local partnerships to improve access to services.

Requirements:

• Certificate IV/Diploma in Community Services (or related field) preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years in community development/support or related programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, cultural competence, and advocacy skills.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC/Blue Card (or ability to obtain), First Aid/CPR, Driver Licence.
