Community Engagement Officer

Community Engagement Officer ACT Hospitals Calvary is seeking a passionate and organised Community Engagement Officer to lead and support our volunteer programs across Calvary John James and Bruce Private Hospitals. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with people, building strong community connections, and coordinating volunteers in a dynamic healthcare environment. About the role Reporting to the Regional Community Engagement Manager, the Community Engagement Officer is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with the local community, promoting our hospitals' services and programs through various channels, including social media, events, and partnerships. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess strong organisational and time management skills. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing strategies for community engagement; Coordinating volunteer programs across the hospitals; Building and maintaining relationships with local community groups, stakeholders and partners; Providing support and guidance to volunteers; Monitoring and reporting on program outcomes and impact. This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
