COMMIS - AUXILIARY OF WAITER

DAILY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation of the Plate and Mise en Place: verify equipment and necessary materials, set up the mise en place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with the appropriate utensils.

• Organization and Sanitation of Utensils: polish cutlery, cups, glasses, and plates; fold cloth napkins; wash juice jugs and clean menus.
• Servicing Beverages and Replenishment: prepare coffees and special beverages (e.g., cappuccino, latte, espresso, iced coffee) and replenish water, tea, milk, and coffee at stations and guest tables.
• Cleaning and Organization: remove dishes and utensils from tables, organize and transport clean and dirty tablecloths between the dining room and linen closet.
• Buffet: Set up, replenish, and disassemble the buffet; verify and control supplies of the counter, requesting replenishment to the manager.
• Service: Auxiliary the waiters in service according to Belmond's standards.
• Communication and Support:
  Report feedbacks and occurrences to the supervisor, collaborate in problem resolution, and alert leadership in cases of complaints for immediate resolution.

Requirements

• Minimum experience of 6 months in a similar role or position in high-end restaurants.
• Desejável conhecimento em inglês. (Desirable knowledge of English.)
• Experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant will be an asset.
