What You’ll Do – Your Mission as a Commercial Space Designer will be to: • Design innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. • Collaborate with our talented team of designers, architects, and project managers to deliver exceptional results. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and project management skills. • Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve your skills and knowledge. • Participate in brainstorming sessions, workshops, and other creative activities to drive innovation and growth within our team. • Contribute to the development of new ideas, concepts, and designs that align with Tayco’s vision and values. • Work closely with our sales and marketing teams to develop compelling visual presentations and proposals for clients. • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction. • Participate in internal projects and initiatives to continuously improve processes, procedures, and team performance. Requirements – To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have: • A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 2+ years of experience in commercial space design, preferably with a focus on office furniture and interior design. • Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, creativity, and attention to detail. • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other design tools (e.g., SketchUp). • Strong analytical and spatial reasoning skills. • Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings, site visits, or training sessions. Certifications – While not required, having one or more of the following certifications would be an asset: • LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional). • WELL AP (Well Building Standard Accredited Professional). • NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification.
