About the Firm & Opportunity We are acting on behalf of a top-performing, full-service Auckland law firm (~43 staff) seeking a 3 - 6 year PQE Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join their close-knit, highly regarded commercial team.
Following a recent team departure, a prime position has opened up for a "solid senior in the middle" to bridge the leadership team and two junior solicitors (1–2 PQE). You will work directly alongside two complementary Partners:

- Senior Advisory Partner (20+ Years Partner Experience): Specialising in high-level corporate governance, commercial contracts, IP, and strategic business advisory.
- Transactional Partner (10+ Years at Firm): Leading dynamic M&A transactions, corporate restructures, business acquisitions, and capital raises.
The Work & Representative Deals
- Mid-Market Transactions: Lead and assist on high-value transactions, including $10M+ M&A acquisitions, joint ventures, asset purchases, and shareholder buyouts.
- High-Value Advisory: Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, distribution networks, corporate restructures, and governance frameworks for mid-market NZ businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
- Mentorship & File Ownership: Run your own files with direct partner backup while acting as a mentor to two junior solicitors (1–2 PQE).
- Balanced Targets: Enjoy manageable, achievable daily targets (5.5 billable hours/day).
- Hybrid & Flexible Working: 1 day WFH per week + flexible start/finish times to suit your lifestyle.
- Extra Leave: Birthday leave off + 5 weeks annual leave for Senior Associates.
