The Role As we continue to expand our reach in solar and whole‑of‑home energy offerings, we’re searching for an additional experienced Commercial Solar Design Engineer to join our Design Services team in our Home Solutions business. With a strong pipeline of diverse commercial and industrial work across Auckland and beyond there’s plenty to get your teeth into here. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, technically excellent commercial solar designs. You will… Produce detailed solar design reports that meet the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded. Collaborate with other teams within Home Solutions to ensure seamless integration of solar designs into whole‑of‑home energy solutions. Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices in commercial solar design. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed. Contribute to the development of new and innovative solar design concepts and solutions. Work closely with our internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful delivery of projects. Ensure all designs are compliant with relevant industry standards and regulations. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our clients’ needs and expectations. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner. Work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives. Maintain accurate records and documentation of design work, including design specifications, calculations, and reports. Participate in regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our company’s policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure all designs are completed within the agreed-upon timeframe and budget. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
