Commercial Manager (m/w/d)

Hydropulse, a 100% subsidiary of ITM Power Plc, will establish, own and operate decentralized facilities for the production of green hydrogen based on the modular NEPTUNE technology from ITM.

We are looking for a Commercial Manager who will play an important role in supporting Hydropulse in achieving its corporate goals and providing value to ITM shareholders.

Tasks

• Provision of financial insights into commercial opportunities, pricing, and margins
• Liaison leadership for financial questions related to tenders, commercial offers, and strategic initiatives
• Responsibility for financial business models, including financing, risk, pricing, and margins
• Support for cash management and working capital
• Ensuring that the commercial drivers of the business are clearly defined and understood company-wide
• Supporting teams from Sales & Business Development, Product Management, and Project Management in creating and critically reviewing high-quality, reliable cost estimates for projects. This involves several million euros' worth of projects and requires the highest quality to review and approve by management
• Collaboration with the technical finance team to ensure correct and precise revenue realization. After approval, it is ensured that the criteria for revenue realization are met and tracked
• Guiding and ensuring effective cash collection processes for commercial projects, including timely invoicing at milestones achieved and coordination with project managers to correctly issue invoices to customers
• Leading the creation of budgets for commercial projects, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, including projected project completion dates and cash flows
• Ensuring compliance with internal control systems, financial guidelines, and relevant accounting standards in commercial finance processes
• Ongoing monitoring of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in commercial finance and investment management

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience of 5-10 years in a commercial environment (Controlling, Accounting, Finance)
• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Tech-savviness and well-developed financial thinking
• Able to cooperate and develop solutions for complex problem-solving
• Able to adapt one's work approach flexibly to a rapidly changing growth environment
• A highly motivated, self-initiated individual with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
• Able to work independently as well as in a team in a dynamic environment
• Fluent German and English skills in writing and speaking
