Commercial Legal Counsel

Hire Resolve's Client a leading FMCG Company is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Legal Counsel to join their team in Durban. As a Commercial Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial matters. Your responsibilities will include negotiating and drafting contracts, conducting legal due diligence, and providing guidance on legal risks and compliance. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and mitigate potential risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial law, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: * Provide legal advice and support on commercial matters. * Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to: * Sales agreements * Supply agreements * Distribution agreements * Service agreements * Marketing agreements * Conduct legal due diligence on commercial transactions. * Provide guidance on legal risks and compliance. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance. * Manage and resolve commercial disputes. * Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations. * Provide training to internal stakeholders on legal matters. Requirements: * Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. * Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law. * Strong understanding of commercial law principles. * Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. * Experience in the FMCG industry is advantageous. * Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
