Tyler Wren is partnering with a respected New Zealand broking group to recruit an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker. This role suits someone who thrives on building trusted relationships with established business clients and takes pride in delivering outstanding service and practical insurance advice, without the pressure of cold calling.

About the Role
You’ll manage and retain a portfolio of mid-market commercial clients across diverse sectors including construction, logistics, manufacturing, and professional services. As the go-to adviser, you’ll handle policy renewals, claims, risk reviews, and provide tailored insurance solutions that truly protect your clients’ businesses.

This is a client-facing role that offers both autonomy and collaboration. You’ll operate independently day-to-day, while being supported by a strong and values-led team that believes in integrity, teamwork, and putting clients first.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, retain, and grow a loyal portfolio of commercial clients
• Conduct detailed risk reviews and collaborate with underwriters to design fit-for-purpose cover
• Support clients through renewals and claims with accuracy, empathy, and compliance focus
• Maintain accurate client data and reporting within leading insurance systems
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture

What You’ll Bring

• 5 years’ experience in commercial Fire & General broking, highly desirable
• NZQA Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services/ANZIIF (General Insurance)
• Strong technical insurance knowledge and confidence in risk assessment
• Excellent communication skills with a client-first mindset
• Proven ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively
