Commercial Finance Manager

The Company
My client is a well known US listed company with a strong brand and significant operations in NZ. This company is in the service and contracts space and is circa $50M revenue in NZ and approximately 170 staff with a branch structure network.

The Role
The role of Commercial Finance Manager will report to the local GM and have a reporting line to the Sydney based CFO. With core finance being supported by the finance team in Australia, this Finance role is commercial focused with a strong sense of Finance business partnering. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Partner the local GM to drive the business, providing financial and commercial insights to drive business performance, identifying any risks and opportunities.
• Drive the budgeting & forecasting process and align these with corporate goals and make recommendations to the business
• Partner with the ANZ Finance team to support region wide reporting and wider finance initiatives
• Ensure the management accounts and management reporting are completed, working with the finance team to ensure they accurately reflect the performance of the business, identifying trends, and providing analysis thereon; making recommendations
• Assist and advise sales operations on pricing strategies and provide oversight to ensure a profitable market position.
• Provide financial insight on tender assessments.
• Establish and manage financial control systems that highlight risk to profitability and opportunities.
• Cashflow management and working capital management
• Manage the calculation and approval process of Sales Incentive plans
• Resolve any customer credit issues that arise
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

Your Profile
To be considered for this role, we are looking for a commercial Finance business partner who is well versed in supporting a GM. You will have the following attributes:

• Preferably CA qualification
• Proven commercial acumen, whereby you have previously partnered the commercial operations of the business
• MNC experience a plus
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive solutions, identifying areas of opportunity
• Previous experience in a branch based, service type organisation
