Please note: This role is exclusively to be performed on-site in Linden.

Hydropulse, a 100% subsidiary of ITM Power Plc, will build, own, and operate decentralized facilities for the production of green hydrogen using the modular NEPTUNE technology from ITM.

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager who will function as a central business partner and support strategic decision-making through financial analyses and commercial modeling.

The role is practice-oriented („hands-on“) and future-oriented, and will support the company both in the United Kingdom (UK) and in the EU.

Tasks

• Provision of economic analyses, financial models, and price and margin calculations to support decision-making on business opportunities
• Pilotage for all financial matters related to tenders and commercial offers
• Development and responsibility for sustainable financial business models, including financing, risk assessment, pricing, and margins
• Support of cash management and working capital
• Support and constructive critical guidance („Challenge“) of teams in the areas of sales & business development, product management, and project management in creating high-quality cost calculations for approval by the executive board
• Collaboration with the finance team to ensure precise revenue recognition and monitoring of compliance with relevant criteria
• Steering and ensuring effective collection processes (Cash Collection) for commercial projects; timely settlement after reaching milestones in close coordination with project managers
• Leadership in creating project budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, including expected project completion dates and cash flows
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls (ICS), financial guidelines, and relevant accounting standards in all processes of commercial finance.
• Presentation of complex financial analyses in clear insights and recommendations for the executive level
• Monitoring product performance after delivery compared to plan, identifying deviations, risks, and corrective measures
• Observation of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial and investment management to continuously improve commercial frameworks and tools

Requirements

• Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. business administration, finance or economics)
• 5-10 years of experience in finance (Commercial Finance, Controlling or Accounting)
• Knowledge of UK-GAAP and HGB (German GAAP) as well as relevant international accounting standards (IFRS)
• Techical understanding combined with sharp financial acumen
• Able to cooperate and develop solutions for complex issues
• High adaptability in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment
• CFA qualification is desirable
• Fluent English skills in writing and speaking
• German language skills are advantageous
• Motivated and self-reliant „Self-Starter“ with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
