Commercial Analytics Internship (m/f/d)

At Picnic, our entire business model is based on data. For our team, we are looking for analytical and curious minds as Commercial Analytics Interns.

You will become part of the teams that keep our digital supermarket running. You will dive deep into datasets to optimize our prices, improve our assortment, analyze campaigns, and find exactly the insights that drive our growth.

What awaits you

Depending on your exact focus area, the following tasks may be part of your day:

• Data Deep-Dives: Use SQL, Python, or Excel to decipher customer trends, analyze our market positioning, and uncover new growth opportunities.
• Commercial Strategy: Analyze product performance and user behavior in the app. From this, derive concrete recommendations that determine what we sell and how we sell it.
• Campaign & Partnership Analytics: Transform campaign and customer data into real knowledge. You will evaluate the success of marketing actions so that our internal teams and brand partners understand exactly what drives conversion.
• Dashboard Building: Create and maintain automated reporting tools in Tableau or Google Sheets to give the team insight into our most important KPIs.
• Optimization Projects: Support the implementation and evaluation of price adjustments, assortment updates, and promotional campaigns to maximize value for our customers. 
• Cross-departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to ensure that our data insights also lead to real, sustainable improvements.

What you bring with you

• You are ideally in the final phase of your Bachelor's degree or already pursuing your Master's in Economics, Business Administration, E-Commerce, Analytics, Retail, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
• A strong analytical mindset – you love working with data and enjoy translating numbers into concrete business recommendations.
• A keen eye for detail, so that no incorrect information is in the app. 
• Proficient use of Google Sheets / Excel and dashboards, ideally with initial experience in Python or similar.
• Interest in Retail, FMCG, Digital Grocery, Pricing, or Commercial Strategy.
• Organizational skills and a proactive mentality – you enjoy taking responsibility for your projects from start to finish.
• You enjoy brainstorming ideas, asking critical questions, and bringing energy to the team.
• You are available for 16–20 hours per week.
• Fluent German and English skills.
