Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d)

Carrying out pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up processes for mechanical and process engineering plants according to approved procedures and checklists. Carrying out plant inspections, functional tests and fault analyses on mechanical systems such as HVAC, dust extraction and exhaust air systems, on process plants such as water treatment, natural gas or liquid nitrogen systems, as well as on supply systems such as compressed air, water and wastewater systems. Technical leadership and guidance of technicians during commissioning, ensuring safe working practices as well as timely and correct execution of work. Control of external suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring of execution quality, ensuring compliance with Tesla standards as well as checking the completeness and correctness of documentation before plant acceptance. Creation and maintenance of commissioning documentation, including checklists, test procedures, snag lists and handover documentation. Daily coordination with Engineering, Construction, Technical Services, Manufacturing and contractors to align commissioning activities with project schedules. Support in the development of commissioning packages and scopes of services as well as technical support for purchasing as needed. Identification and resolution of technical problems on site as well as escalation of complex issues to the Commissioning Lead. Ensuring compliance with German regulations, technical standards and official requirements. Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or a comparable technical field, or equivalent practical qualification. Relevant experience in commissioning complex industrial or production plants. Extensive practical experience in commissioning mechanical plants, process plants and technical supply systems in industrial or production environments. Experience in leading technicians or site teams during commissioning or construction projects. Experience in controlling and monitoring suppliers, service providers and subcontractors in construction or commissioning projects. Good knowledge of German technical standards, regulations and documentation requirements. Very good English skills in speaking and writing; German skills are a significant advantage. Confident use of Microsoft Office and Autodesk applications. Willingness to spend a large part of working time directly on the construction site or in the plants and to get hands-on when necessary. Ability to work successfully in a performance-oriented, cross-functional environment with tight deadlines and ambitious goals. Prospect of project extension.
