Collections Advisor

The Collections Advisor reports to the Collections Team leader/Manager and plays a crucial role in supporting our Collections team by managing customer accounts and facilitating timely collection of outstanding debts.

This position requires a customer-focused professional with excellent communication skills, who can handle customer inquiries with empathy while working towards business objectives.

The ideal candidate has experience in collections or customer service, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and has a passion for delivering high-quality service.

Your daily responsibilities are:

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, including making outgoing calls and responding to incoming questions to collect outstanding balances.

• Negotiate payment arrangements that balance the needs of the customer with the objectives of the company.

• Professionally handle customer inquiries and provide accurate information and advice regarding account status and payment options.

• Maintain detailed records of all communication and actions related to customer accounts.

• Escalate complex or high-risk accounts to the Senior Collections Advisor or Collections Supervisor/Manager as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with company policy and legal requirements during all collection activities.

• Signal opportunities to improve customer satisfaction while maximizing collection performance.

• Support the team by participating in training sessions and sharing best practices.

• Meet individual and team performance goals and contribute to the overall success of the collections team.
