Job description

What is expected of a Restaurant, Bistro, and Kitchen Collaborator? TEMPORAL (November 1st, 2025 to January 31st, 2026)

To attract visitors to the stores, encouraging them to stay longer and enjoy the IKEA atmosphere even more, making the visit enjoyable for everyone, offering high-quality food at a low price so that it provides a tasty reason for visitors to come back again and again, as well as providing IKEA colleagues with an opportunity to rest and recharge.

What would your missions be?

  • To ensure our customers are always satisfied and strive to make them smile. Know and attend to our customers, showing empathy and care. Be willing to listen to them and support them with a values-based attitude based on IKEA's values.
  • To be a good ambassador for the IKEA store in all contact with our customers and give a good reason for them to come back again and again.
  • To see the area through our customers' eyes and have a daily dialogue with them to obtain feedback on their experiences and learn more about their needs and desires. Take measures based on their feedback and provide new ideas to the Manager (Direct Supervisor) on how to continuously improve customer meetings.
  • To know the services offered in the store and use this knowledge to help customers.
  • To work to ensure quality, freshness, efficiency, and an attractive presentation, for example, by following established product lists.
  • To be passionate about products and actively learn about their content, origins, and other benefits. Share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
  • To maintain the area of responsibility clean and organized throughout the day and prepare it for the next business day.
  • To work to ensure that the food/restaurant area is always clean, tidy, organized, with visible prices, attractive, and welcoming at all times.
  • To know our daily and weekly sales targets in order to sell more.
  • To find more effective ways of working to reduce costs and be aware of them, for example; waste control, correct portions, correct production levels, and correct cooking methods.
  • To comply with and follow internal rules, policies, and daily operational routines regarding matters such as quality, food safety, and inventory numbers established by the manager.
  • To execute store operations and ensure that our operations are always in line with IKEA's standards.
  • To ensure that any food incident or possible incident is reported through the correct methods and inform the Manager.
