Compensation: EXIST start-up scholarship, €2,500 per month for university graduates, plus planned equity in the company

About Us

We are Pierre-Louis Suckrow and Kerim Anater. Our academic and professional backgrounds are in Computer Science, Design & Computation, and Human Computer Interaction. Together, we are developing a new platform for organizing and collaborating in digital music production.

Our product aims to enable tracking of different project states and their development, restoring previous versions, and exchanging projects between different production environments. With this, we want to create more space for musical experimentation, reduce the organizational effort in creative work processes, and facilitate collaboration among music creators.

A first functional prototype for Ableton Live already exists. We are part of the WaveLab Incubator Batch #7 and in the winter semester part of the Munich Music Labs. We are currently preparing our application for the EXIST start-up scholarship.

To complement our technical and product-oriented skills, we are looking for a third founding member to shape external communication, build contacts, and develop customer relationships in particular.

Your Role

In the upcoming project phase, the focus will be on further product development, validation with potential users, and building initial customer relationships and partnerships.

We are looking for a person to accompany these processes and, in particular, to manage communication with people outside our team.

Possible areas of focus include:

• Communications & PR: Developing our external communication, conveying our product idea, and building visibility within the music industry and beyond.

• Community Building: Building and nurturing a community of music producers, music creators, and other potential users.

• Partnerships & Networking: Contacting and maintaining relationships with studios, companies, industry players, and potential cooperation partners.

• Customer Discovery & Success: Conducting interviews with potential users, supporting early beta users and pilot projects, and systematically collecting feedback.

• Growth & Business Development: Co-developing our go-to-market strategy, acquiring initial customer groups, and validating our business model.

We want to develop the exact task distribution together, depending on your previous experience and interests.

As a third founding member, you will also be involved in the strategic and entrepreneurial development of the venture.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a communicative and independently working person who enjoys interacting with people and is interested in accompanying a technological product from early development to market entry.

Ideally, you bring the following:

• Experience in a communication-oriented field, such as PR, marketing, community management, customer success, sales, account management, or business development.

• The ability to communicate complex ideas understandably and address different target groups.

• Enjoyment in building and maintaining contacts and long-term relationships.

• Initiative, organizational skills, and the willingness to take responsibility.

• Interest in digital products, technology, and creative work processes.

• Interest in co-founding and the long-term development of a company.

Nice to have, but not a requirement:

• Experience in the music industry or contacts with music producers, studios, labels, or artists.

• Experience with startups, software products, or building communities.

• Own experience or interest in music production.

A specific professional background is not decisive for us. What is crucial is the willingness to learn new topics, take responsibility independently, and provide complementary skills and personal fit within our founding team.

EXIST Funding & Compensation

We are currently preparing our application for the EXIST start-up scholarship. This funding program supports founding teams for a period of twelve months in developing and validating their start-up venture.

During the funding period, each team member receives a monthly scholarship depending on their qualifications:

• €2,500 per month with a university degree

• €3,000 per month with a doctorate

• €2,000 per month with a recognized vocational qualification

• €1,000 per month as a student

The scholarship serves to secure a livelihood and is not a regular employee salary. Funding is subject to the approval of our EXIST application.

Prerequisites for EXIST Funding:

• A university degree, usually obtained no longer than five years ago, or another qualification permissible under EXIST. Exceptions are possible for one person in the founding team.

• A residence in Germany or the possibility to live and register in Germany during the funding period.

• Willingness to dedicate oneself to the start-up venture full-time during the funding phase.

We are explicitly seeking a long-term founding member, not a fixed-term employment. We aim for a largely equal equity stake in the future company. We will discuss the specific structure together.

Collaboration

We are currently based in Munich and Berlin. For the founding phase, we want to bring the team together in Munich to drive product development and company building on-site.

Therefore, we are looking for someone who already lives in Munich or is willing to move to Munich for the joint founding phase.

Since we are still in an early development phase, many aspects of the later company structure and task distribution are still open. We want to shape these together as a founding team.
