Job Title: CNC Vertical Borer

Location: Sheffield

Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time

Recruiter: Adept Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading engineering company based in Sheffield.

• Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 4:30pm - 2:30am

• Pay Rate: Starting at £23.70 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)

• Overtime:

  • Time and a half available during the week and Saturdays

  • Double time on Sundays

Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Vertical Borer Operator with proven experience on Siemens or Fagor-controlled machines. You will be responsible for producing high-precision components to exacting standards in a fast-paced engineering environment.

• Operate CNC vertical boring machines with Siemens or Fagor controls

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce precision components

• Perform machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes

• Inspect and measure components to ensure quality standards are met

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Work independently during night shifts and manage workload efficiently

• Proven experience operating CNC vertical borers

• Proficient in Siemens or Fagor control systems

• Strong understanding of machining and precision engineering principles

• Ability to work independently and reliably on night shifts

• Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency

• Overtime paid at 1.5x weekdays/Saturdays & 2x Sundays

• 4-day workweek - Monday to Thursday, 4:30pm-2:30am
