CNC Machine Setter / CAM Programmer (m/f/d)

PolyTALENT is filling a key position in production for an established medium-sized partner in CNC machining in Velbert. An experienced CNC Machine Setter / CAM Programmer (m/f/d) is sought who can create programs, optimize machining processes, and reliably transfer demanding components to series production.

Responsibilities

• Creation and optimization of CNC programs in the CAM system and, if necessary, directly at the machine

• Definition of economical machining strategies for workpieces in turning and/or milling

• Setting up CNC machining centers including tools, clamping devices, and work equipment

• Preparation, alignment, and measurement of workpieces before production starts

• Execution of zero point settings and adjustment of existing programs for repeat orders

• Simulation of machining processes and step-by-step running of new programs at the machine

• Input of correction values and fine-tuning of parameters for process optimization

• First part inspection and correction of programs in case of dimensional or process deviations

• Inspection of manufactured parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and completeness

• Coordination with adjacent departments in case of disruptions or optimization potential in the production process

Profile

• Completed apprenticeship as a cutting mechanic (m/f/d), CNC specialist (m/f/d), industrial mechanic (m/f/d), or comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in CNC machining, ideally as a CNC turner (m/f/d), CNC miller (m/f/d), or setter

• Good knowledge in the machining of components in the areas of turning, milling, and general CNC machining

• At least 3 years of experience with CAM systems and confident handling of CNC programs

• Routine in the independent setting of CNC machines and in production optimization

• Confident reading of technical drawings as well as understanding of inspection criteria and quality specifications

• Willingness to work in a 2-shift system

• Structured, careful, and quality-conscious work approach with high process reliability
