CNC Sheet Metal Operator - Stainless Steel

Introduction

You can set up a press brake, adjust a program, and deliver a product within tolerance. As a CNC Sheet Metal Operator, you will work in a specialized stainless steel production facility on varied products in small series. Two-shift system, modern machines, and the prospect of a permanent contract with the client.

Where you will work:

You will work at a specialized manufacturer of stainless steel products in Oosterhout. The company develops and produces everything in-house — from standard products to custom work — and serves customers in the construction and infrastructure sector.

The production environment is modern and well-equipped. Work is done with new machines and digital work orders. It is a company with a close-knit team culture of approximately 70 employees, 55 of whom are in production, that actively invests in the development of its people.

What you will do:

As a CNC Sheet Metal Operator, you will operate press brakes and a swing beam shear. You will set up the machines, create and modify programs, and process products based on digital work orders with 2D and 3D drawings. Programming is part of your role but takes up only a small portion of your time.

You will work with stainless steel sheet material up to 2700 mm in length and 3 mm in thickness, with tolerances up to 0.1 mm. Series are small — usually a maximum of 10 pieces — which keeps the work varied. You will retrieve materials from the warehouse yourself with a forklift and regularly switch between machines. You work in a 2-shift system with handover between shifts.

Tasks:

• Setting up and operating CNC press brakes and a swing beam shear
• Creating and modifying programs based on digital work orders and drawings
• Processing stainless steel sheet material in small series with tight tolerances
• Changing tools and performing quality checks
• Retrieving materials from the warehouse with a forklift
• Collaborating with colleagues from the welding and assembly departments

What we ask:

• Experience with CNC bending is a strong pré — starters with the right attitude are also welcome
• Willingness to work in a 2-shift system
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (2D and 3D)
• Precise work attitude with an eye for quality and tolerances
• Forklift certificate is a pré — if not present, this will be arranged
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language (spoken and written)

What we offer:

Financial conditions:

• Gross hourly wage of €17.00 - €22.16 (including 14% shift allowance)
• 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
• Travel expenses reimbursement of €0.23 per km

Other conditions:

• Weekly payment
• 25 vacation days per year (based on full-time)
• Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pensionable income
• Minimum of 40 hours per week
• Working hours: early shift 06:00-14:45 / late shift 14:30-22:30
• After 1,040 hours worked, possibility of a permanent contract with the client
